Barry Allred is an Agricultural Engineer with the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Agricultural Research Service - Soil Drainage Research Unit in Columbus, Ohio. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Food, Agricultural, and Biological Engineering Department at Ohio State University. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biosystems Engineering from Oklahoma State University. Prior employment experience includes working as a geophysicist (ConocoPhillips Inc.) and as a hydrogeologist (ERM-Southwest, Inc. and the New Mexico Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources).
