0Carlos Calderón-Macías received a B.S. (1990) in engineering geophysics from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and a Ph.D. (1997) from the University of Texas at Austin in geophysics. He held a postdoctoral position at Mobil Technology in 1997–1999, and then worked as a researcher at the Mexican Institute of Petroleum until 2006. He joined Ion-GX Technology in 2006. His research interests include multicomponent seismology, seismic modeling and inversion.
