Abstract

A new structural interpretation of Mt. Albo range (Eastern Sardinia) is given; its monoclinal pile is not merely a stratigraphic sequence as it appears in the geological sheet 195 Orosci, but it consists of two superposed units, of which the lowcr one is autochthonous, and the upper one is allochthonous and related to gravitational gliding tectonics of Oligocene age.
