Authors of Interpretation have wide-ranging technical and linguistic backgrounds. Some authors have to overcome English language barriers. Some face the hurdles of integrating multiple disciplines. With the journal’s scope spanning geology, geophysics, and geoengineering, almost every reader is a nonexpert for some papers. Writing for Interpretation requires special efforts.

Aiming for broad readability and impact. Reporting results of strong interest to specialists and writing in a way comprehensible by nonexperts presents a serious challenge.
