The authors are to be congratulated on excellent new zircon dates that contribute to terrane demarcation in the eastern part of the Namaqua mobile belt. Because we were involved in terrane definition of the mobile belt for some time (e.g.Colliston et al., 1992), we are very interested in all new isotopic data that can place time constraints on the details of the tectonic history of the region.
