The authors would like to apologise for an error on the first paragraph of the right hand column of page 1096. ‘dextral’ should be replaced by ‘sinistral’ so that the first sentence reads:

The correlation of the thin Razorback Chert (Fig. 2, immediately below the shear zone of site 11) with the much thicker chert of the McPhee Formation is firmly based on the observation of significant sinistral dragging and fragmentation of the chert along and within the major SW–N Eorientated Box Soak Fault (Figs 2 and 3).
