Cover: Looking up from a modern wash at one of the measured sections of the Paleocene-Eocene Nianbo Formation and Eocene Pana Formation in the Penbo/Linzhou basin. Carbonate clumped isotope paleothermometry performed on the carbonate sediments within this section were used to reconstruct the paleo-high elevation of the Linzizhong arc just prior to the onset of India-Asia collision and through the Eocene. See “Paleocene to Pliocene low-latitude, highelevation basins of southern Tibet: Implications for tectonic models of India-Asia collision, Cenozoic climate, and geochemical weathering” by Ingalls et al., p. 307–330.
