Abstract
The Society was called to order by President Edward Orton at 2.30 o’clock pm, in the lecture-room of the Peter Redpath Museum, McGill University. Mr George Hague, of the Board of Governors of McGill University, made a felicitous address of welcome, to which President Orton made a brief response.
The administrative business of the session was introduced by the report of the Council, which was submitted in print as follows:
