The eighteenth annual meeting of the Cordilleran Section of the Geological Society of America was held at Stanford University, in conjunction with that of the Pacific Division of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, April 6 and 7, 1917. The first session, April 6, was called to order at 10 a. m. by Chairman C. F. Tolman, Jr. After announcement in regard to the annual dinner, to be held at Stanford Union at 6 p. m., and the business meeting for 1.45 p. m., the following papers were read:
