The chronostratigraphy of the middle Eocene–upper Eocene successions of the southeastern Pyrenean foreland basin has been revised by Taberner et al. (1999). This contribution was based on the correlation of the magnetic polarity stratigraphy (MPS) for several partial stratigraphic sections recording the Paleogene marine succession throughout a north-south transect of 25 km in the Vic area (northeast Spain).
