Abstract

A detailed seismic reflection profiling survey of part of the Cilicia basin, between Cyprus and Turkey, shows structures that are probably salt domes or walls with an approximately east-west orientation. Sediment velocities of 4.3 and 6.7 km s−1 were found at depths of 1 and 3 km below the sea bed.
