Scope Notes: Atlantis Massif, W Mid-Atlantic Ridge, N of Atlantis fracture zone. N central Atlantic. Sites 1309-1311 were drilled on Expedition 304; Site U1309 was redrilled on Expedition 305. From 2009-2011, Expeditions 304/305 was sometimes used for Expedition 304 and/or Expedition 305. As of 2011, Expeditions 304/305 may still be used where the exact expedition could not be determined.
