In Peary Land, Crinoidal Calcarenite intrashelf buildups and overlying alochthonous carbonate rocks may be present in the subsurface...

—Partly buried Silurian stepped carbonate-shelf margin, related to eastern part of Permin Land flexure (Fig. 4), in western and eastern Wulff Land (Figs. 6a, b, respectively). C, shelf carbonates of Silurian and possible Ordovician age; SM, Silurian mudstones and siltstones of deep-water basin (Fig. 3); ST, Silurian turbidites of deep-water basin (Fig. 3); numbers 1 and 2 refer to lineaments which have not been examined on ground. Note lineaments are parallel to carbonate-shelf margin and there appears to be differential vertical down-to-north displacement along them, producing a stepped margin. In 6a (eastern side of Sherard Osborn Fjord, Wulff Land) lower block of stepped margin is completely buried by basin mudstones, and contact between carbonate and clastic rocks probably has been stripped by later erosion, thus emphasizing abrupt nature of platform margin. In 6a, cliff height to south is approximately 1,000 m (3,300 ft); in 6b, cliff height to south is 800 m (2,700 ft).
