Homogenization temperature vs. silver grade plot of carbonate-replacement deposits worldwide, including high-temperature carbonate-replacement, Mississippi Valley-type (MVT) and Irish ore deposits (modified after Titley, 1996). The data for Taebaek (South Korea), Olympias (Greece), and the Lower Changjiang belt (China) are from So et al. (1993), Kilias et al. (1996), and Pan and Dong (1999), respectively. A shaded area for the Lavrion carbonate-hosted Pb-Zn-Ag deposits shows that they have values of Th and silver grade that are within the field of high-temperature carbonate-replacement deposits.
