ABSTRACT The significance of fusulinid forms similar to “Wedekindellina” ultimata Newell and Keroher 1937 are well known as index fusulinids to the lower Missourian Series of the North American Continent. Skinner and Wilde (1967) recently proposed the generic name Eowaeringella and designated W. ultimata as the type species. This paper emends the genus and describes eleven new species and two new varieties. The geographic distribution along with the evolutionary and stratigraphic significance of the genus are discussed.
