Electron microscope study of the different hydration states of sepiolite

Abstract

Sepiolite heated to 300 degrees C and to 480 degrees C under vacuum was studied by high resolution electron microscopy. The results are in good agreement with the structural scheme of Preisinger for the anhydrous sepiolite and good agreement also with the X-ray and I.R. results
