Abstract
What goes around comes round. Michigan, where many of Marathon's best exploration and production staff cut their teeth years ago, is booming again. The state's massive sand--the Prairie du Chien (pronounced locally doo-shane and abbreviated PdC)--is a hot new gas play with a relatively strong market. New discoveries, waterflooding and new drilling techniques also promise additional oil reserves.
