Hydrothermal pebble dikes at Mount Morgan, Queensland
Economic Geology and the Bulletin of the Society of Economic Geologists (September 1967) 62 (6): 853-860

Abstract

Dikes are mostly 1-2 feet thick, with sharp contacts and no wall-rock alteration. Matrix of clay- to sand-size particles makes up 50-70 percent of volume. Fragments show a wide range in degree of rounding and include fragments of granite from at least 1500 feet below exposures. Emplacement is attributed to fluidization by hydrothermal liquid.
