Developments in Ohio in 1953
AAPG Bulletin (June 1954) 38 (6): 1057-1062

Abstract

Oil development continued at a high rate with the activity centered principally in extensions to existing pools in Ashland, Coshocton, Knox, and Licking counties. Two new Clinton sand oil pools were found and several successful wildcat gas discoveries may lead to pool development during the coming year. No outstanding geological tests were made and exploratory drilling was again only meagerly successful.
