Abstract

As chair of the SEG Women's Network Committee (WNC) for 2013-2015, I was thrilled and remain thrilled with the possibilities ahead to advance the many talented young women in geophysics that come to academy and industry in ever-increasing numbers. In November 2011, prior to my service, the SEG joined a decades-old worldwide trend to promote the advancement of women within all professions and sectors by launching an SEG Women's Network and the SEG Women's Network Committee (WNC).
