Abstract
Early Mesozoic schists, phyllites, quartzites, and metamorphosed limestones are the oldest rocks. These are followed, with fault contact, by unmetamorphosed Cretaceous sandstones, shales and reef limestones, and Paleocene-Eocene, Oligocene, Miocene, Pliocene, and Pleistocene formations. The geologic history of the region is sketched.
