Abstract
Radioactive methods of age measurement show that pegmatites of Southern Rhodesia and southeastern Manitoba are among the oldest known rocks. There is evidence also of even older rocks, but the possibility of finding older pegmatites is slight. Comparisons of the age of the oldest rocks with estimates of the age of the earth, meteorites, the universe, and elements show striking agreement.
