Abstract

Krishna-Godavari (KG) Basin, on the east coast of India (Figure 1), encompasses a sedimentary cover of approximately 100,000 km (super 2) both onshore and offshore. The basin has emerged as a frontier area due to the discovery of a multitrillion cubic feet super giant gas field (Bastia et al., 2004).
