Abstract

Describes the lithologic facies and, on the basis of foraminiferal faunas, discusses the age relations of Miocene beds on the Kathiawar peninsula, India. Three units are recognized--the lower Burdigalian Bhatia and Visawara limestones and the upper Burdigalian Orbiculina limestones.
