On some erroneous or questionable determinations of Choffatella
Micropaleontology (1955) 1 (3): 269-272

Abstract

Among foraminifers erroneously assigned to the genus Choffatella are a foraminifer from Jurassic beds of Cutch, western India, which is here assigned to Trochammina, and "Chofatella" sogamozae from the lower Cretaceous of Colombia, whose characters differ not only from those of Choffatella but from any other spirocyclinine genus of the Lituolidae. The validity of C. zireggensis from Hauterivian (Cretaceous) beds of Algeria is questioned.
