Abstract

Notes the stratigraphic value of Globigerina pseudobulloides, G. triloculinoides, and Globorotalia velascoensis as indicators of the upper Paleocene in northwest Europe, the Middle East, and North America, and recommends that the term Thanetian be restricted to the lower Landenian or dropped.
