Abstract

Through a study of some selected sites, the group of pollen, Normapolles, extinct Angiosperms, appears to be an example illustrating the biodiversity in space, both in France and Czech Republic, as well as in time, from Cenomanian to Turonian. This first study shows an evolution, from a low biodiversity during the Middle Cenomanian, to an "explosion" of the number of forms in the late Turonian-early Coniacian. This biodiversity evolution seems to be linked to palaeoenvironmental changes, such as anoxic crisis, climate and/or eustacy...
