Abstract
Quenching experiments were performed over the T interval 1050-1260 degrees C to elucidate reaction paths followed during the sintering of iron ore. Data obtained, combined with those available in the literature, allow the construction of a series of isothermal sections showing phase relationships in the Fe (sub 2) O (sub 3) -CaO-SiO (sub 2) system.
