Abstract

The possibility of constructing phase diagrams from thermodynamic models of aqueous solutions parameterized at higher T is investigated. A previously developed model for the thermodynamic properties of CsCl(aq) has been applied along with the ice-water equilibrium constant and the thermodynamic data at 25 degrees C for Cs (super +) (aq), Cl (super -) (aq) and CsCl(s), to predict the ice-liquid-vapour and the salt-liquid-vapour curves down to the eutectic T for the CsCl-H (sub 2) O system.
