Geological Magazine (December 1940) 77 (6): 461-469

Abstract

Felsitic material was developed in Triassic pebble beds at their contact with a Tertiary dike of olivine dolerite as a result of potash metasomatism at a temperature high enough for tridymite to form. The petrographic and chemical changes are discussed in detail.
