Abstract
The terminology of 3-D seismic interpretation has become confused. Those embracing the art today, and there are many, find a plethora of terms, many referring to the same product. Three-dimensional seismic data is now so widespread that we need a consistent terminology that helps us all understand each other. I would like to cite several examples of redundant terms and make recommendations for conformity.
