Abstract
Several superstructures of pyrrhotite may exist with the same c repeat distance having different densities and distributions of iron vacancies. The theoretical possible stacking sequences are given for pyrrhotites with ordered vacancy distributions and integral c values up to 5C structures. Hexagonal and triclinic superstructures are distinguished, and the possibility of the occurrence of certain structures is discussed
