Abstract
For non-cubic silicates and oxides more faces enter the growth form with increasing T and an isometric habit is approached. Supersaturation and extraneous substances have no influence on the morphology. The habit of alkali feldspars is affected by the pH value of the fluid phase. For carbonates a T dependence of the morphology was seen merely as an exception for strontianite; in all other cases supersaturation was the main growth influence.
