The formation of phases at high-T in this system have been investigated by powderXRD. Solid solutions of the beryllonite and KAlGeO (sub 4) types form for Na-rich and K-rich compositions, respectively. A new phase with a hexagonal (square root3 A, C) kalsilite superstructure forms at intermediate compositions; with increasing T its compositional range extends to the Na end-member. The structure of the kalsilite-type phase Na (sub 0.7) K (sub 0.3) GaSiO (sub 4) has been refined and is discussed in terms of Na/K ordering and distortion of the tetrahedral framework.
