Abstract
A model for coexisting ilmenite (sub ss) -magnetite (sub ss) based on new and existing experimental data for the Fe-Ti oxides is developed using linear programming. The model is internally consistent with the available data for Fe-Mg exchange for olivine (sub ss) -ilmenite (sub ss) and olivine (sub ss) -magnetite (sub ss) and Fe-Mn exchange for ilmenite (sub ss) -garnet (sub ss) .
