Abstract

Davanite, a new alkali titanosilicate recently described from Siberia, has been found associated with coexisting orthorhombic and rhombohedral Ca-Sr carbonates in the Smoky Butte lamproite. The chemical composition and XRD pattern agree closely with those of the type specimen.
