Abstract
The petrology, mineralogy, chemistry and geothermometry of Cr-rich and Cr-poor suites of megacrysts/inclusions from hypabyssal facies kimberlite are analysed. A magma-mixing model for the evolution of kimberlite melts within the low-velocity zone of the mantle is presented.
