Abstract
A polished section of light yellow-orange to darker orange-brown colour-banded Pine Point sphalerite was analysed for iron content by linear microprobe traverses and mapped by Fe K-alpha emissions. The absorption of light in Pine Point sphalerites varies in response to Fe content.
