Abstract
Numerous small, sub-economic, Cu-U occurrences are located within the clastic red-beds of the Upper Devonian Catskill formation in Pennsylvania. The red-bed type deposits are closely associated with marine transgressions. In contrast, the Wyoming-type, roll-front, U occurrences are localized in large channel sandstones. The metals were deposited during diagenesis by migrating, metal-bearing pore fluids.
