Abstract

Overall drilling activity for the southeastern states decreased slightly in 1965, although there was a slight increase in development drilling. Principal activity was in the Wilcox trend of southwestern Mississippi. Outstanding field development occurred in the Bay Springs (Cotton Valley) field, Jasper County, Mississippi; the Flora (Gas Rock) field, Madison County, Mississippi; and the Sunoco-Felda (Glen Rose) field, Hendry County, Florida.
