Structural evolution of a section along the base of the St. Anthony Complex, Northwest Newfoundland
Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences = Revue Canadienne des Sciences de la Terre (November 1983) 20 (11): 1713-1724

Abstract

The basal portion of this complex is made up of structural slices 10-30 m thick; the lowest rocks are deformed pillow lavas and are overlain by greenschists, phyllonites and mylonites. Deformation of the pillow lavas occurred under lower greenschist-facies conditions; the rocks are part of a high-strain zone developed during regional overthrusting.
