Abstract

A seismic instrument truck and an off-road vibrator made daily trips to the National Mall in Washington, DC during two midsummer weeks, leading those knowledgeable about the ways and means of petroleum exploration to suspect that somebody was trying to measure the reflection of something other than the Reflecting Pool.
