Abstract
Dense linear patterns, intersections of geologic lineaments, hydrothermal and supergene alteration patterns, and vegetation toxicity. Exploration at Weston Pass revealed major faulting, local hydrothermal alteration, and a small zinc-silver-lead deposit. Controls on mineralization are deep-seated faulting, jointing, and permeable and reactive facies in the Mississippian Leadville Formation. Advantages of orbital photography are high resolution and true color pictures, as well as low cost, large area coverage, uninhibited access to remote areas, and confidential reconnaissance.--Modified journal abstract.
