Abstract
The room-temperature Mossbauer spectra for Canadian and Rhodesian chrysotile, Finnish anthophyllite, and South African amosite and crocidolite are interpreted in terms of their Fe (super 3+) /Fe (super 2+) ratios and site occupancies.
