Claudio Bagaini received an M.Sc. (1990) in electronics and a Ph.D. (1993) in seismic signal processing from Politecnico de Milano in Italy. He worked as a consultant in 1994, developing algorithms for converted-wave dip-moveout processing. In 1995–1997, Bagaini was a research geophysicist in the seismic group, Center for Advanced Studies Research and Development in Sardinia (CRS4), where he developed migration algorithms on parallel computers. In 1997, Bagaini joined Schlumberger Geco-Prakla in the United Kingdom as a research geophysicist and later as a senior area geophysicist for the Europe, CIS, and West Africa offices, working on migration and multicomponent seabed data...
