Abstract

Hankel transforms with simple integrands can be evaluated very efficiently without using Bessel functions. However, if simple closed forms exist, then direct numerical integration should be avoided. In general, the simple closed forms improve the accuracy and readily yield approximations at early and late stages of the transient. We draw attention to one such result, which is well known and would have facilitated the computation in this paper.
