Abstract

The relation between character and amplitude of reflection and the geophone depth was investigated at several locations in Oklahoma. It is shown that the variation of reflection amplitude down to a depth of the order of 200 feet is, in general, what would be expected from changes of the acoustic impedance of the strata traversed. Changes in reflection character are illustrated by tracings from the records obtained.
