Abstract

In the subject paper, Dr. Sigmund Hammer has overstated the precision of airborne gravity and its impact on the effectiveness of exploration. The overstatement apparently results in part from an error in computations and in part from a misapplication of statistical analysis. Potential users of the method are, therefore, led to believe that airborne gravity can solve some geologic problems which in fact it cannot. This Discussion is an attempt to document these assertions.
