Abstract
3 HFU (125 mW/m 2 ) increase within a distance of 2 km. The presence of the anomaly implies an active heat source centered at a depth of 1140 m, perhaps associated with hydrothermal circulation. Analogous to coinciding zones of high present-day heat flow and mineralization in England and Wales. Shallow heat flow determinations may be useful in locating other similar areas and investigating possible associations of mineralization and thermal history.--Modified journal abstract.
