Quite a few computerized interpretation schemes on the inversion of a magnetic profile across a dike have been reported recently. McGrath and Hood (1970) described an essentially trial-and-error method in which each of the dike parameters is varied in turn by an arbitrary amount until a set of best-fit parameters is found. Rao et al. (1973) described a method of differential correction to improve the initially assumed dike parameters. Similar works may include those by Moo (1965), Hall (1968), Bosum (1968), and others.
